Provide ToT training about the standardized Pre-internship training package

  1. Background

January, 1989, MA’AN registered by law as a non-profit organization. The main office is located in Ramallah and the other branch offices are located in Gaza, and Jenin. MA’AN's work is informed by the necessity of creating independent, self-reliant initiatives that lead to the development of human resources for sustainable development, which incorporate values of self-sufficiency and self-empowerment.

MA’AN in partnership with UNDP/PAPP is working on the implementation of the internship opportunities of Al Fakhoora Dynamic Futures Programme alumni. AL Fakhoora Dynamic Futures Programme is multi-faceted, with four main inter-related components all working towards the overall vision; quality education, student affairs; leadership development and economic empowerment. The economic empowerment component aims to bridge educational opportunities to success in professional life through career preparation, internships and networking. The expected outcome is to have the educational opportunities for targeted youth effectively linked to economic productivity of students’ families

As part of the economic empowerment component, MA’AN working on implementing an internship program targeting 100 young alumni. The internship program should offer the youth valuable work experience and helps to enhance their professional skills, while allowing prospective employers to see the contribution a young person can make to their organization’s success. An important component of MA’AN intervention is to provide the targeted interns with employability skills training as a prerequisite to entering an internship. MA’AN in contract with a consultancy team had developed a standardized training toolkit for the employability skills training in order to be adapted through the coming rounds of trainings.  MA’AN will conduct a ToT training about the toolkit for a pool of potential trainers so that they could be contracted to deliver the employability training in the coming phases.

  1. Description, Objective and scope of work

MA'AN is seeking qualified individual trainers to receive a ToT training about the developed toolkit so that they could be contracted to deliver the employability training for the interns in the coming phases.

The team of consultants who develop the toolkit will conduct a ToT training for a group of potential qualified trainers so that they could be contracted by MA’AN in the coming rounds to deliver the employability skills training considering MA’AN procurement procedures.

16 hours of ToT will be conducted by the team of consultants over 4 working days (4 hours / day) targeting the applied trainers in order to build or strengthen the capacity of the participants to deliver the employability skills training for the interns.

  1. Qualification and Experience of the trainers

The interested trainers to receive the ToT should have the following minimum qualifications:

  • Relevant academic qualifications. Master's degree and above is preferred.
  • 5 years of proven experience in conducting similar trainings.
  • Proven expertise in developing training materials on the aforementioned topics through the last 3 years.
  • Expertise in the areas of employability and labor market skills
  1. Timeframe.

The ToT is expected to be completed through October 2019.

The interested trainers are required to submit their CV including the following

  • Education
  • Detailed work experience
  • Experience in conducting similar trainings
  • Expertise in the areas of employability and labor market skills

CV’s will be assessed using the evaluation criteria below. Only CVs that obtain more than 70 points will be selected to receive the ToT.
